Unholiness

This is for the devotees of lord "Palani Murugan" and for the visitors of Palani. We strongly believe that we get a peace of mind if we go to a temple.

Loads of Ingredients are required to prepare prasadham at Palani, including the famous "Palani Panchamirdham" on a daily basis. And unusually these ingredients are carried by donkeys.These poor animals are carrying all the items such as Oil, Ghee, etc., for making pongal,and other prasadhams.

These animals are been tortured by us [human beings]. They are carrying the load from the bottom to top through stairs.These animals are not allowed to take rest even for a while. With lot of facilities at Palani like Winch Train or the Rope car which can easily carry heavy loads, we [human beings] are hurting these poor animals.

All these [humanly] act is carried out focusing only on minimizing cost and to maximize the profit. Donkeys do not ask money for carrying load, but we [Humans] do.
So next time when you go to palani, please think about this before you spent hundreds for "Prasadham".

You can spend the money for something which would help the animals.
I believe being human beings [not being Lord Murugan] we can try to do this.
And I could not see anything holy or spiritual in this place.

1. Why do we wash our bath towels, when we are clean after bath ?

Doing something is better than doing a great thing

Great Thing 1 :

We spend thousands for our shoes/dress and we are happy to discuss about it with our friends.

But we either do not give or we think more to give Rs.5/- to a poor girl/boy begging for money. We speak about logic here or blame the person who begs in the traffic.

Just take a simple scenario, we purchase a shoe for Rs.2000 and only the dealer and we are happy about it.

If we provide Rs.5/- for a person on a daily basis for 400 Days, we would had spend 2000/-.Here we will be able to provide Rs.5/- for that person daily for more than a year.

If we do this,
We are not doing a great thing , but we are doing something.

Great Thing 2 :

We claim we have blackberry, N97,etc.,.
We love and care about our beautiful,lovely and costly mobile. We even fight for hours with our friends to prove that our mobile is the best. We worry about the scratches on our mobile for days.We use technology, we browse through our mobile for downloading games, for checking ticket availability, etc.,

But we do not even have time to look at a human/animal on the road, hit badly. We speak about logic here and blame the person or blame the animal.

We do not use our costly mobile here to browse and get the emergency number and call for help. We forget about our mobile here.

If we do this then,
We are not doing a great thing , but we are doing something.

Great Thing 3:

We speak about other nations and their culture,lifestyle,obedience in following rules and we praise other nations when we discuss about it with our friends. We easily follow their dressing style, we easily follow their accent.
But we only follow whatever is easy to be followed and we claim that we are westernized.

How many of us have followed traffic rules on a daily basis. How many of us cross the road using the Zebra crossing. How many of us wait and allow the pedestrians to cross over.

If we do this,
We are not doing a great thing, but we are doing something.

Not only this, we have so many (some)things to do in our life rather than doing great things.We are getting adjusted for everything that happens in our life and we just blame it on our society.

We believe society is different from us. But we need to realize that we are the society and society means all of us. We follow certain things and we classify it to be good and bad based on what has been told to us and based on what that is followed in the society. This is applicable for both good things and bad things that happens in our society. If we feel something good should happen to our society, first we need to follow it.

If one person change,other one will think about it , follow it and the person will also change. This will not happen very quickly it will take time.
But this will happen only if we change ourselves.

All about Life - By Myself

I saw a kid playing with jigsaw puzzle.He was trying to form an elephant structure using the pieces from the puzzle box. This moment made me compare our life with a Jigsaw Puzzle.

The Kid is provided to solve the puzzle which is an elephant structure.This kid cannot change this, he cannot frame a structure of lion using the provided elephant puzzle box.

Everyone in this world is provided with a life to live.In this birth i am provided with a life of 'Prabhu' and i cannot change it even if i wish.

As the kid solves the puzzles he focuses on particular areas, first he concentrates on legs, then trunk and then head and body of the elephant. He focuses and gives importance to each and every part of the elephant randomly. He is happy acheiving the parts of the elephant step by step. He is very happy to see the head of the elephant. He becomes more interested when he completes the trunk of the elephant.

Similary our life is composed of various parts and phases. Education,Career,Love,Family.. and all these are various phases in our life. It depends on every person to be happy achieving the various phases of our life one by one. I would be happy if i have a good education, another person may be happy with the career... and so on.

And as the kid was about to complete his puzzle few parts of elephant body was missing from the box. He was much worried. He took few similar pieces from another puzzle box of Lion. He was able to fix these pieces into his puzzle, but it was not looking good and not completed. He was able to finish the game, but he could not complete. Finishing and Completing are different.

We do the same in our life. If we are not able to get all the parts and phases of our life, we adjust, convince ourselves and go ahead with our life, by this we can say our life is filled with all the parts and phases , but we cannot say that our life is complete.

I feel every part and phase is important for our life. And it is important that we live our life and not just survive.So even if one part of our life is missing, it is sure that we will get a spare for that part and we can fill the missing part of our life, but it is for sure that our life will not be complete.

Life is to live, don't just survive.
